Getting Braces (First Week)

I want to share with you my experience on getting braces for the first time.

I never had a straight teeth before, but it started to move in a very bad position when i had 2 extractions. It looked so bad, that's why I never ever smile showing my teeth in pictures. And when one of my colleagues at work noticed it and told me how bad it looks, finally i decided to give braces a try.

I went to the dentist first week of December and was asked to get an x-ray from another dentist. After about one week, i came back and brought my x-ray. I was asked to come back again after 3 days to put spacers cause she will put molar bands.

She then went for a vacation because of the holidays and finally, i received a text message from my dentist a day after Christmas, and i hurriedly went to her clinic.

I arrived at 3:40 pm and finished after 5:30 pm. The process did not hurt at all. I just closed my eyes and the next thing i knew is that i had my braces.

My mouth feels full and i find it hard to talk.

I went home after that and was super hungry. But as expected i can't chew anything.

I did not eat anything for dinner and was super super hungry the next morning. I only ate lugaw the whole day. Luckily, my mom cooked tinola for dinner and i was able to eat rice submerged with lots and lots of sabaw.

I brush my teeth after every meal and was looking in the mirror while eating because it bothers me when something stuck on the wires. But overall, the pain is tolerable.

After 4 days, i began eating more. But still i can't use my front teeth. So, I'm eating soft foods like pasta, bread, chicken cut into small pieces, cake, and my favorite ice cream.

Here are my braces on it's first week.

I will be going back to the dentist on January 26 for my first tightening, and I will post my experience after that. Hopefully, I can update you guys every month for improvements on my teeth.

So, see ya on my next post. :)

Tokyo Love Soap Pure Girls Mini (Review Update) and Tokyo Love Soap Original Review

I finished the Tokyo Love Soap pure girls mini yesterday which lasted for 10 days. I was actually surprised because it lasted longer than i expected.

and as promised, here are the verdicts:

Prize: 200 php/15 grams (free shipping)

Bought from: Japanichi Shop

Pros:

soap lasted long
whitens the skin
gives a certain glow
made my skin soft and smooth
faster effects than most soaps used before

Cons:

smell doesn't last long
quite drying in the first 3 uses

4/5
Overall it's a great beauty soap. It whitens and smoothens skin fast. The only downside is that the scent dissapears as soon as i put on my body lotion. I love the rosy scent to it and wish it can last longer on the skin.

And here's my full legs with and without flash (AFTER) :

I don't know if you notice the differences. But my skin actually improved a lot in terms of the texture which I never experienced my skin to be this smooth in any other soaps that I have tried in the past.

So, moving on.

Because of my issue of the pure girls scent that doesn't last. I decided to order an unscented version of the soap which is the Tokyo love soap in Original.

Here are the benefits of using the Original variant.

excerpt from japanichi.com.ph

  • Powerful natural and organic skin whitening complex
  • Lightens the skin as early as the first use
  • Refines body hair for a smoother look (Only affects fine hairs. Does not affect the hair, eyebrows and eyelashes.)
  • Remove discolorations, freckles, melasma, age spots and dark spots
  • Even out skin tone
  • Make pores smaller
  • Clarify and tone the pores
  • Soften and smoothen skin
  • Help reduce fine lines, wrinkles and scars
  • Mild enough even for use on the intimate areas

  • I bought it from Japanichi Shop for 610 php because of their web site's 10% discount and free shipping. Original price was 680 php.

It weighs 100g in a pink and white box with the logo. The soap is wrapped in a clear plastic.

I cut the soap in 4 like what other bloggers suggested, it will help the soap to last longer. So far, it felt just the same as the pure girls but I'll be posting updates once i finish the soap.

So, there you go. See ya on my next post! :)

Tokyo Love Soap Pure Girls Mini Review

I first saw this soap from the Japanichi Shop where I ordered PH338 months ago. I thought that it's too expensive and did not even thought of trying it.

Just recently, I was searching the net for a new soap to try. I'm one of those ladies who loves trying new soaps and creams online. I saw some good reviews from different bloggers and found out that Tokyo Love Soap is one of the best selling soap from japan and is raved by many kikay bloggers. So of course, I got very interested with this soap.

I wanted to buy this soap but was hesitating because of the price. It ranges from 800 to 1000 pesos which is way too much for just a soap.

The last soap that I tried was the soap from Kyusoku Bihaku which cost 400+ in Watson. It has the same size of Tokyo Love Soap and I find it so effective in whitening.

I was so happy when I found out that Tokyo Love Soap Pure Girls has it's mini version for only 200 php. And since japanichi shop offers free shipping, I ordered from their site immediately. It arrived today and tried it as soon as possible. Excited much? lol

This is what the soap looks like. It was wrap in pink paper with the logo. It weighs 15g and i think it's enough for a week or two. The first thing that I noticed is the scent. It smells like red roses. I love that it smells so feminine and makes one feel sexy.

    here's an excerpt from japanichi.com.ph

Tokyo Love Soap Pure Girls Mini is 100% similar to Tokyo Love Soap Pure Girls but just smaller! It is an easy rinse soap formulated to eliminate body odor in just one wash with an amazing freshness that will last all throughout the day. Four anti ageing ingredients consisting of Hydrolyzed Elastin, Epidermal Growth Factor, Hydrolyzed Swiftlet Nest Extract and Ceramide-3 all works in synergy to make the pores smaller and make the skin look 10 years younger while preventing fine lines, coarse lines, wrinkles and other signs of skin ageing and photodamage.

Tokyo Love Soap Pure Girls Mini contains Evening Primrose Seed Extract lightens and prevents freckles and other forms of skin discolorations for a perfectly even and illuminated skin tone that everyone will notice. Artichoke Leaf Extract smoothens the upper epidermal layer and creates an apperance of a poreless, matte and baby smooth skin. Pure Girls also contains twice the amount of the sweet smelling Damask Rose, Ylang Ylang and Osmoferine for that enticing scent that will help you win over the attention of any Men! Tokyo Love Soap Pure Girls will bring out the Sex Goddess in you!
I first lather Psalmstre Placenta Soap to my body and face and followed it with Tokyo Love Soap. I find it very rich and creamy, easy to lather. I leave it for 5 minutes and rinse.

I feel a little tingling effect, skin feels a bit dry. When I went out of the shower, I lather a bit more lotion than I usually do. I was expecting what the other bloggers described their skin which is softer and smoother after their first use. But I don't mind, maybe it depends on ones skin.

I love the rosy smell but it does fade right after I put my body lotion.

I did not notice any immediate results but I won't be disappointed just yet. I will wait till I finish the mini soap and I'll post my verdict.

    :)
